Purpose
To establish and operate a resource library and archive for Estonian culture, language and history.
Activities
The Estonian Studies Centre will operate an archive and library for the preservation and study of Estonian culture, language and history, especially in Canada.
The Estonian Studies Centre will take over this activity from Tartu Institute. As the Charity expands, it hopes to receive additional materials from other institutions in order to centralize this material.
The function of the archives is to collect and preserve archival material from individuals, organizations and other entities, that illustrate the life and activities of Estonians in Canada after World War II. The Charity will collect, catalogue and preserve printed material, personal and institutional documents and memoirs, but also artifacts - photographs, audio-visual records, paintings, sculptures, posters and other artistic creations.
