Monika Evelin Liiv (mezzo soprano) and Marje Lohuaru (piano) concert
Wednesday, February 22nd at 7:30pm at Tartu College, Monika Evelin Liiv (mezzo soprano) and Marje Lohuaru (piano) will be performing a concert. The concert provides a diverse overview of the world’s best vocal music from opera arias to classical chamber music. Although the focus is on Estonian vocal music, the program also includes J. Sibelius, Western, and Russian classics. Monika Evelin Liiv’s grand and multi-faceted vocal abilities allows for the program to include a repertoire of well-known opera arias as well as German “Lieds” and Russian romances.
Tickets $20 (adults) and $12 (students) on sale at the door before the concert.

G. Rossini – Isabella’s aria “Cruda Sorte” from the opera “L’Italiane in Algeri”
F. Cilea – Principessa’s aria “Acerba volutta” from the opera “Adriana Lecouvreur”
P. Mascagni – Santuzza’s aria from the opera “Talupoja au”
