Dance Performance ‘Zolla! by Julia Aplin and Tiina Kiik (accordion)

On Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 7 pm Julia Aplin (dance) and Tiina Kiik (accordion) will be performing their dance performance ‘Zolla!

The inspiration for the dance performance “’Zolla” originated from Astor Piazolla’s music and harsh Canadian winters. Accordionist Tiina Kiik and dancer Julia Aplin present a witty and improvised story which includes props such as a winter coat and boots as well as gold dance shoes and a redhot tango dress. The audience better be prepared to experience wild laughing fits in addition to many thought-provoking “aha-moments.” “’Zolla!” is an example of contemporary improvised performance art at its best.
