Marko Raat’s Lecture: “From the Supermarket Conveyor Belt to a Hole Made by a Stone Axe. The Estonian National Museum’s 100 Film Screens”
Wednesday, December 7th at 7pm at Tartu College, Marko Raat will be giving a lecture on the topic: From the Supermarket Conveyor Belt to a Hole Made by a Stone Axe. The Estonian National Museum’s 100 Film Screens (Supermarketi kassalindist kivikirve auguni. ERMi sada ekraani). How can one show yesterday’s and today’s invisible everyday life through film in a modern museum? Marko Raat will tell us how, by describing the process of creating exhibition material for the new Estonian National Museum building. THe new building was opened at the end of September. It was deisgned by the Dorell, Ghotmeh, Tane architecture firm in Paris. The new building and exhibitions have already become points of interest in both Estonia and international architecture and museum circles.
