Native Language Day (Emakeelepäev)

Join us in the main hall of Tartu College on Sunday March 18, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. for a celebration of Native Language Day (Emakeelepäev). The keynote speaker will be Triinu Pert, an Estonian language teacher at the Tõstamaa Secondary School in Estonia. We will also view a documentary film about the retention and/or loss of the languages of small nationalities: „Book Smugglers” (Planet Corda Pictures/Erafilm, 2011). Commenting on the film will be Piret Noorhani.

The program will be in Estonian with the exception of the film, which will be in English.
