From VEMU Archives: “Estonian Food Culture”
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic is it not possible to organise events at Tartu College. Instead, VEMU opens up its archives for you to watch different lectures and workshops at home.
In this two part lecture from 2012, Kristina Lupp and Inga Paenurm will take us through various topics on Estonian food culture. The study of food has become an increasingly important area when exploring national identity. More and more nations pride themselves on dishes or ingredients typical of their country. The lectures discuss the changes in Estonian cuisine over the century, and shed light on how it is continually evolving.
The first part is in English, second in Estonian.
