EERO, ESC/VEMU and EFBA present a charity event: Northern Spirit: Estonian Fashion & Design Experience

Sunday, October 1st, 2017 EERO, ESC/VEMU and EFBA (Estonian Fashion Brands Association) will be hosting a charity fundraising event at Tartu College: Northern Spirit: Estonian Fashion & Design Experience. 10 fashion brands and designers from Estonia will be presenting their creations in two fashion shows beginning at 2pm and 7pm (doors open at 1pm and 6pm). A pop-up store will be open, where preorders for fashion designers’ work and online orders can be made. The products will be sent to the buyers at a later date. Drinks and appetizers will be available at the cash bar. This event celebrates both Canada’s 150th and Estonia’s 100th birthdays, and is also a part of the program for Canada’s national event, Culture Days, taking place from September 29th to October 1st, 2017.

From September 28th-October 2nd, a showroom introducing the brands will be open at Tartu College. Times to be announced.

Tickets $40/$20 (students) will be on sale beginning September 5th at vemu.ca, Tartu College, and the Toronto Estonian Credit Union (for the bank’s open hours visit www.estoniancu.com).

In Estonia, 2017 has been announced the Year of Children and Youth Culture. The slogan “Me too!” and keywords being yourself and working together encourage children and youth to participate in culture and also create their own experiences. The funds raised at this charity event at Tartu College will support the creation of a centre for children and youth with disabilities in Estonia. The centre will give these children and youth better opportunities to participate in creative and meaningful activities.

As a teaser, an additional major gala event part of this collaborative project will be announced soon and will take place at a premiere downtown Toronto location. Stay tuned!
