TC 50+2 : Vello Soots memorial lecture by Anu Raud & Our Tartu exhibit opening

Saturday, September 24, 3 p.m., at Tartu College.

The TC 50 +2 celebration continues with the Dr. Vello Soots memorial lecture, held by textile artist Anu Raud, who has gained fame not only in Estonia but also behind the runway with her visually impressive carpets. She is a passionate teacher of Estonian ethnographic and farming culture, whose homestead in Heimtal has become not only a museum, but also a learning center and a place of pilgrimage for all who hold Estonian folk culture close to their hearts. Anu Raud’s passion and entrepreneurship in the development of the Heimtal center could be an example for us who dream of establishing VEMU here. The lecture is in Estonian.

The exhibition “Our Tartu” dedicated to the history of Tartu College will also be opened.

There will be a reception. Free event, voluntary donation is welcome.
